To my Husband on his 29th Birthday

28 was a good year for you. Everyone always says you'll fall 100 times more in love with your husband once you have a child, and that's absolutely the truth. I hit the husband jackpot.

He's never once rolled his eyes at changing diapers, feeding Georgia, watching her while I work, putting her to bed, he's done it all. He's allowed me to leave my steady job, start a business, pivot my business, and he works his ass off to provide for us. He jumps into action as soon as he gets home from work, because frankly I'm exhausted from trying to work all day while also parenting - he never complains, and he was doing a difficult, real world job all day where he's expected to be ON at every moment. We're so thankful for all that you do Jeff.

I always joke that I'll just keep aging and Jeff just won't. He was holding Georgia last weekend while we were out to lunch and a woman asked him if he was a teen dad. Seriously. Sometimes he gets carded and I don't. Benjamin Button stuff.

While I know he secretly wanted a boy, this dad was meant to have a daughter. He regularly says now, "I just can't imagine if she was a boy," and I know he loves saying "me and the girls". Georgia has heart eyes for her dad. It's just the absolute best.

The guy pays me compliments all the time. You would have thought I had lost all the baby weight as soon as we left the hospital (I hadn't. I was actually extremely swollen and an emotional mess). He encourages me to go to Pure Barre or out for a run as often as I can, he's happy to watch the baby because he knows it's what keeps me sane.

Most importantly, he's on my team. When there's a baby involved I think things just get a bit clearer. There's no use in fighting when we could just pull from the same side of the rope.

If you would have told me the guy I met at Allison's 22nd birthday celebration when he was there "to go meet babes" would become the guy he is now, I would have laughed at you. And that's not to say he wasn't a fantastic guy then, he's just the best possible version of himself now.

Georgia and I are the luckiest. I hope you always know that you're my favorite. Wishing you the happiest of birthdays my sweet husband.
